Dropping a Character | |||
It's always sad to see a character go, but not every character can stay forever. If you're planning on dropping the game, please take a few seconds to let us know here, so we can remove your character from the taken list before the next application round. When your character is dropped, both the character and their dragon will die in game. Usually to a beast hunter, untamed beast, or other player's character. You can choose not to specify the cause of their death, in which case the mods will specify one for the character instead. If another character is involved in the death they will have to approve the note before it is made.
Sacrificial Drop | |||
If you feel like your character's time has come to an end and you want to send them off in style, there's a different kind of drop you can take part in. It takes a little more planning and has to be cleared with the mods in advance because it will occur during an event or player plot. A sacrificial drop occurs when a character's death is considered heroic or sacrificial by one or more of the Great Beasts. When a character dies in this way, they will be honored by the Great Beasts as a Hero of Osaaru, but the connection between the Great Beasts, the character and the character's dragon will be destroyed by Bahemait. A character can not return to Osaaru with their game memories intact after this occurs. Their death will be incorporated into the plot, and their 'soul' will be inscribed in the Temple of Benra.
