Rules
Respect yourself and others.
Everyone is different, and so are their thoughts, character preferences and choices. Be respectful of others and very importantly, be respectful of yourself.

Be confident, have fun, and if you feel the need to offer or request critique on your RP or your character/dragon/choices in the game, do so politely and respectfully. Remember that Critiques are constructive and offer suggestions, not criticisms without solution.
Leave the drama to the characters
Remember that IC interactions, disagreements, actions and beliefs are not the same as those of the player behind them. And likewise do not use your character as a mouthpiece. Your personal issues, frustrations, thoughts, and opinions should remain clear and separate from those that belong to your character.

IC Drama is great, but if you encounter a problem with a player, or other OoC drama, try to resolve it outside of the medium of the game. If you absolutely can't, talk to the mods. We will see what we can do or offer as a solution to the problem if necessary.
Stay active
If you can not stay active for some length of time, let the mods and players know by posting a hiatus so other players know they need to focus on other interactions for that time. It's your task to make sure you stay active, including reporting your activity to the reward system.
You control your character
You control your own character and dragon, not the characters of others. Communicate with your fellow roleplayers when acting out a scene that might need some hand waving or action among other things. Let the player decide what their character does, don't make those decisions for them. Don't god-mod other players or their dragons.
Do not abuse the dragons
Dragons are intelligent creatures, but they are still animals. Think a clever dog with wings, or whatever appendages your dragon has. While your character shares an empathic and magical link to these creatures, they do not communicate on the level of humans. Even if a character finds a way to talk to their dragon, the dragon's mind retains the same characteristics. They are hungry, or feeling the emotions of their bondmate in their own way.

Dragons don't think like we do. Don't make your dragons overly intelligent or overly powerful. Your dragon is not the best dragon in any regard other than perhaps in the eyes of your character. They're young, new creatures. Each dragon has its own strengths and weaknesses, and needs to learn how to live, hunt, fly and use their magic like all the rest.
Obey the Character Limit
There is currently a 2 character per player limit for the game. Do not try to cheat your way around this. If you are discovered to be playing other characters under a different name all of your characters are subject to removal if the mods decide that is the action to be taken.

Additionally, you must wait until your first character has their first month's check-in submitted and has at least 10 AC Reward Points before applying for a second character.
Avoid Playercest and knowledge bleed
Players may not app two characters from the same or related canons if those two characters would have reason to interact with one another to great degree within the game.

We ask players not to use information gained with a different character or OOCly within the game for their character.

There are many characters within the game for you to play with, without relying on assumed interactions between your own characters.
Be Mindful of the game's setting and mechanics
There are many resources at your disposal for exploring and playing with the open world. Mods are not required to approve things like encountering various creatures or travelling to different parts of the land.

That being said, the Great Beasts are not to be NPCd by players into situations and we ask that players be mindful of the rarity and threat levels of the various creatures in game. If a creature is thought to be extinct, your character shouldn't be encountering a herd of them.

If it lives in the fire swamp, it is unlikely your character would encounter it in the mountains. And if it's a Dragon-Killer threat level, you and your dragon should not be taking on three, two or really even one of them alone, and definitely will not come away unscathed.

Be mindful of the game setting. We do want you to have fun, but going too crazy with the world beyond its boundaries just spoils that for others.

As well, keep in mind the different game mechanics. For instance, the network is an instant visual contact medium. While it's possible to obstruct visual view and have audio only contact, or even display written word with the magically linked devices, it takes active magic to maintain those connections and they are instant. There should be no accidental usage or delayed messages sent through these devices. And wide scale contact with other devices is exhausting and should be short-lived and rarely used.
Keep an open mind
As a game open to all kinds of mediums, and canon and original characters alike, we ask our players to keep an open mind and give everyone an equal chance. This is a multifandom game, and as such your characters will run into all kinds of people, creatures, backgrounds, magic, and more. Try to embrace this diversity and give people a chance to show you what they can do and what their characters are about!
Provide Feedback
While not mandatory, this game from the beginning has been reliant on input from future players, and we would love to keep it that way. If you have questions, comments, thoughts, ideas or critiques, let us know either on the Feedback page or through the mod contact options so we can continue to make this game the best it can be.
